Quick pictorial catchup
Mmk, so I didn’t blog anything over the festive season but I did manage to snap a few photos
along the way. Here’s a VERY brief look-see into the last couple of weeks …
The Killers rocked Cape Town last night
I’m not even going to MENTION the damn traffic disaster grrrrrrrr!
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check this out (and read the comments.)
Let’s just have a look at a couple of awesome snaps taken by Sir G 😀
The venue, Val de Vie Wine Estate, was just gorgeous!

AWESOME SHOW!
Audi Awesomeness
On Friday I was lucky enough to be one of the 8 people selected to take part in the Audi Centre Cape Town MVP Day.
The 8 MVP’s were:
- Yours truly
- Lili Radloff
- Justin Hartman
- Matthew Buckland
- Bradley Voges
- Charl Norman
- Joe Botha
- Chris Rawlinson
So I got behind the wheel of an automatic for the first time in my life and my immediate (panicked) reaction was: “Oh crap! There are only 2 pedals … NOW what?” I was driving with Joe, who was ever-so-patient and polite while I got used to not using my left foot (and giving him a few hard-braked neck jolts at the same time … SORRY Joe!)
The A5 at our pit stop in Constantia.
Anyhoo … after those first few frightening minutes the Audi A5 2.0T FSi Multitronic was an absolute pleasure to drive. What a beautiful car!
At Constantia Village we stopped to swop cars and then it was the turn of the Audi Q5 3.2 FSI Quattro Stronic … more POWER! Lovely 😀
The Q5 outside The Toad in the Village.
The next pit stop was at The Toad in the Village in Noordhoek, where we were treated to refreshments before heading out again. At this stage, 2 draws were done to see who would be taking the S4 around Chapman’s Peak Drive and who would win the chance to take the incredible R8 V10 out for a test drive later. Charl Norman won the R8 spin (w00t!) and I won the S4 drive, which I decided to give away to one of the guys. Justin Hartman LEAPED at the chance to take this baby out and I rode with him as we meandered around one of the most picturesque places in Cape Town.

“Hurry up with the picture woman – I want to GO GO GO!”
Because I was in the S4 for the final 2 car changes, I missed out on driving the TT and the Q7 but HELLZ, I ain’t complaining!
Our final stop was at the Cape Grace Hotel in the V&A Waterfront where Audi Cape Town treated us to a great lunch before we all went our separate ways. (My little Polo felt like a piece of doo-doo after all that heh.)
We had an awesome time! Thanks so much to Audi Centre Cape Town and Wernich Stipp for hosting this brilliant day 😀

Audi Centre Cape Town MVP Day
How awesome is this?
I’ve been invited to attend the next Audi MVP Day on Friday:
Congrats on being selected for the next Audi MVP day.
The general idea is to get 8 fantastic people together for a morning, have some fun and get to experience some of the cars in the Audi range.
The plan will be to take 4 different Audi cars (2 people per car), cruise around a pre-determined stunning driving route, swap cars/drivers along the way, have a fun tea/coffee pit stop, then drive some more and finally have a lovely lunch, all compliments of Audi Centre Cape Town.
Some pics from last night
I took a few snaps at the Fuse launch at The Book Lounge last night but dammit, the camera on my E65 is SO crap! Unfortunately, I’ve rather screwed up my N95 (with it’s brilliant little camera) by trying to dismantle it to replace the cover and keys. That was a complete FAIL and the repair shop have done their best to fix it but unfortunately they haven’t succeeded.
Anyhoo … here are the pics, as bad as they are …
That’s Sally Partridge in the pic above … sorry about the blurry face, Sally!
