Indeed. A piss poor response by Big Concerts!
And full of lies … I never got any sms or email notification from them? We left home at 3.30pm and only *just* arrived in time for Zebra and Giraffe. And we’ve been to quite a few concerts, so we KNOW the drill!
But it took us 3 hours to drive 3km. There’s just no excuse for that kind of fuck up in organisation. (Never mind the running out of beer, no vegetarian food and disgusting toilet stories!)
I’m just glad I’m not a big Elton John fan, ‘cos guess where he’s playing next year?
I reckon Big Concerts needs a competitor.
They deserve to be angry – but responses like this one:
“The major problem, I think, is that people left it too late to come to the venue. We’re not used to waiting for two hours – it’s an international norm”
Will just fuel the rage. The best thing Big Concerts couldn’t done was to acknowledge that they were at fault, they screwed up and that they are sorry. That they will ensure it never happens again.
Really bad PR move to shift blame onto the unfortunate people who were caught up in that mess (us included).
Hah. So many angry people there … and justifiably so.
You see it took some people 6 HOURS to get home? Sheesh …
