Mmk, so I’m a bit happy about this. No, wait. That’s not true. I AM OVER THE MOON!
I got featured in The Smashing Book #2 π
“The Smashing Book 2 is a printed book about best practices in modern Web design.”
This book shares valuable practical insight into design, usability and coding. It provides professional advice for designing mobile applications and building successful e-commerce websites, and it explains common coding mistakes and how to avoid them. Youβll explore the principles of professional design thinking and graphic design and learn how to apply psychology and game theory to create engaging user experiences.
And if you have a look in the first chapter, βThe Principles of Great Graphic Designβ, written by one of my design heroes, Matt Ward and the supremely talented Alexander Charchar, you’ll see … MEEEEEEE!
I’m a bit late to this but still VERY awesome! π
Ah, thanks everyone π
Fanbloodytastic and so damn well deserved! XXX
I’m bursting with pride! WE all know how incredible you are, not only as a person, but also the leader of a great team, now you just have to believe this yourself! xxxx
Fabulous Sue, as Mom would say, ‘that’s not nothing’!!! Well done, super impressive.
x
Well done my daughter!! Kind of puts into balance what you told me about the other day. Just keep believing in yourself and the wonderful work you and your team produce and make them eat their words and opinions.
Thanks Angel π I really am super stoked about this.
@Matt: Thank you! It’s sometimes difficult to gauge where you are in terms of creativity and skill when you work for yourself and have no-one mentoring or directing you or providing you with feedback and suggestions.
As for my use of the word hero, I ain’t backing down, lolz. Matt, seriously, you’re a real gem! I could write an essay about how your integrity, talent and courage epitomise my beliefs on the makings of a Design Hero … but let me not gush π
Hey Sue
As I already mentioned on Twitter, it was my pleasure to be able to include your blog in the chapter. Was a perfect example of what we were talking about in that section.
And yes you DO have something to offer. You and your team do great work!
The only think I question is your use of the word “hero” in reference to me. I’m just a guy with a MacBook, a tablet and a love of the web π
Now thats awesome!
Thank you!
You know, I recently had my confidence severely knocked by someone with “clout” in the industry and this is JUST the boost I needed to remind me that I DO in fact have something to offer …
Wooooohooooooo, congrats!
Freakin’ awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats, and take lots of time to enjoy it π
