We find out on Monday who makes the Top 10 of each gender and then it’s the final round.
Jeez, it’s serious stuff this year! 3 Flipping rounds of voting … bit much actually, there shouldn’t have been a “semis” round. This thing is losing momentum.

I know the semi’s was a bit of a ball ache too, but the truth is, one person handling this compo isn’t enough – next year I plan on having a better tech system. In the interim I had to decide whether I could risk getting behind on the admin of the compo by making it shorter than last year, or giving myself some time by stretching it over 3 weeks.
In my defense though, most competitions have 3 rounds… voting, semi’s & finals. How else are we supposed to define who should really get to the top ten, you know?
Anyway – here’s hoping next year goes a bit quicker and pain free.

I think if you cut out the semi-finals, you’d find it a lot easier to manage. It’s just a fun thing so no-one’s going to object to that.
