Until today.
Today it feels real. Today it’s sinking in.
Today I’m starting to feel bleak.
My beautiful boy, Son#1, is leaving on Tuesday … for a year of travelling and working overseas.

@SheBee … I know, it’s an incredible opportunity for him and he’s completely amped!
He’s starting off in the UK, in Brighton – he’ll be staying with his uncle (the X’s twin brother) for a month and sorting work out. He has a basic plan for the year of where he’s going and what he’s going to do. The first half of his trip will be spent working in various places while he saves to go traveling for the second half.
But yes, I’m sad. A whole year of not seeing him. Wow.
I think I have pre-half-empty-nest syndrome.
Wow!! So soon? I hope I have a chance to pop in and say cheers before he goes but if I don’t then all the best and – “Be careful out there.”
I am also hoping to leave on Tuesday on the next part of my journey.

Yes, it all happened pretty quickly! Once he made up his mind to defer his studies things just kinda avalanched.
I am only going for 3 or 4 weeks as I have a pretty full diary for March.
At least you have a beeg family around you, and just think of all the prezzies he will bring back, hehe
