Today has taken a heartbreaking turn …

Sir G and I have decided to take a break.

That’s all I can say right now.

  1. Shit, it just keeps getting worse :(
    So sorry to hear!!!!

  2. Cath says:

    Oh my word. My friends.
    sending you huge huge love.

  3. StevenMcD says:

    *sends cow_grrrl a huge hug*

  4. Dad says:

    Dearest Daughter,
In many ways I am pleased you are taking a break but also a bit sad.
I think Sir G has been both good and maybe not so good for you.
The main thing now is that you get yourself out and about and meet more people.
I know that you find it hard to do but the more you put yourself out there the easier it will become.
The way you are now is not the natural you. I agree with what Son#1 said about your social skills.
They have just been pushed back by the X over many years but they are still there.
You were always outgoing and friendly and could mix with anyone.
Time to be that lady again.
    Love,
    Dad.

  5. Miss Boats says:

When you are ready and anytime you feel like hitting the town – shout, i’m here – as the new single chick on the block i could use a partner in crime :-)

  6. Sir G says:

@Dad: Ive never really had a good conversation with you. I have never really known your true perspective about this relationship or your opinion towards me. Im not sure If you truly know where I come from or who I am. Your daughter comes first, that is right. All I can say to you is all your desires, aspirations, and protective feelings you have for her have always been shared by me. From the first moments I started to get to know her, her blossoming has always has been at the forefront of all my actions and thoughts. I have given to her unselfishly, and truthfully. I love her, and sometimes that is the true indication of love – that you are willing to let go when you have to. I havent failed. I know what Ive given, and im proud of every moment. I will continue to give to her, I will continue to support her, I will always love her.

  7. Dad says:

@Sir G – I have never questioned your feelings toward my daughter.
I know from what I have seen and heard that you do love her and only want the very best for her.
The part of the relationship that has worried me is / was where would or could it go.
I still don’t write the 2 of you off. If it is meant to be it will be
