I *wish* I was a musician – I’d be a drummer =)

I have TONS of stuff in my iTunes library (yes, I still buy CD’s) and sometimes it’s difficult to choose what to listen to. These are the albums that top my list at the moment, stuff I’m loving right now.

  • NIN – The Slip. This one is a totally free download! (Thanks to Kat for blogging about this.)
  • Three Days Grace – One X
  • One Republic – Dreaming Out Loud
  • Linkin Park – Minutes to Midnight
  • Breaking Benjamin – Phobia. If ONLY they’d come and play in South Africa, but Benjamin Burnley has a phobia about flying. No, really!
  • Muse – Everything!! Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, Hullabaloo, Absolution, Black Holes & Revelations, H.A.A.R.P.
  • Jeff Buckley – Grace. Mmk, this one will ALWAYS be at the top of my list. I think I listen to him every day =)

What about you?
What’s topping your charts right now?

    @ Sir G Anything new on the horizon that you know of?

  3. Sir G says:

    A new Robin Thicke album out soon. Looking forward to that.

  4. SaulK says:

    Awesome, someone else who loves/even knows about Jeff! What’s your favourite song?
    Sir G: I think the Thicke album was out a while ago…

  5. Sir G says:

    @ SualK: Brilliant! Another Jeff fan. He’s really unknown in this country.

    The new Robin Thicke album is called “Magic”. Its being released in September in the states.

    @SaulK – Jeff is my all-time FAVOURITE musician!! I don’t think anyone could get close to his incredible talent, never …. From the first moment I heard his voice, I totally fell in love with him (as a musician).

    My favourite song …. hmmm, let’s see. Ok, Grace has to be right up there, along with his cover of Hallelujah. I also like Eternal Life, What Will You Say and Kangaroo. Oh gosh, Last Goodbye is beautiful, so is Forget Her and Vancouver.

    I guess I can’t pick a favourite! The thing is, his music is so varied and all so brilliant, that at any one time, no matter how I’m feeling or what I’m in the mood for, at least one of his tracks will do it for me – from Lilac Wine to Tongue, he is just AWESOME!

    Or was, should I say :-(

  7. SaulK says:

    So nice to meet JB fan’s in South Africa. Hardly anyone I know has even heard of him.
    If I can make a recommendation it would be to get his live album called “Mystery White Boy”. It’s really, really good.

  8. justB[coz] says:

    @SaulK – I have it :-)

    Actually, I think I have every single recording of his known to man! Audio, video, everything … I have collected absolutely any and everything I could get my hands on!!

  9. Brenton says:

    Also a sometimes Jeff Buckley fan, both my wife and brother-in-law are big long time Jeff fans. I’m very big on Johnny Cash. I may just be showing my age here, and my tendency to be a bit of a hillbilly.

  10. justB[coz] says:

    @Brenton hillbilly my ass!

    Johnny Cash rocks! Have you heard his cover of “Hurt” (Trent Reznor/NIN)? I recently watched the video on YouTube and was completely blown away!
