My body, brain, energy and creativity DO NOT KEEP OFFICE HOURS.
So … instead of struggling against the ticking hands of the clock (and not getting anywhere worth the mammoth effort), I have decided to listen to “me” and go with the flow of my own energy. Like I used to, before I had other people working here.
That means I’m going to work when I feel like it, play when I feel like it, nap when I feel like it, read when I feel like it, etc. etc.
I’m (quite literally) tired of the constraints of a 9-5 day. So, to hell with that. I’m going back to operating in the way that suits me best and results in optimum productivity and fulfillment!
@angel … I guess there have to be *some* perks to running your own business eh? 🙂
OMG I am so jealous!!
LOL! I wish … sadly, there are some “privacy” issues. That’s just the down side of running one’s business from home.
Yup, it’s just a catch 22 situation. Working a 4 day week would be great and all, but any job which deals with clients, needs an ops manager there during the 5 days, clients won’t understand a Monday being a none work day. That said, I guess Sir G and yourself can chill by the pool on Mondays then, I’ll have to hold the Fort, I mean, The Forge 😀
Yes! Who exactly decided that weekends should only be 2 days anyhow!?
I hereby, with my lack of authority, deem Mondays as extended weekend days.
LOL! Something like that, yeah 🙂
Except that most of my best work happens when I’m alone – involves early mornings, late nights and weekends – adds up to a lot more than 4 days wah!
4-day work week, woooohooooo!
