“I learned … that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic striving, but it comes into you slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness.”

This is not just talking to me … it’s SCREAMING!!!
@Diago … according to Elizabeth Gilbert, those “bolt” moments are not jut inspiration … they are GENIUS!

@Dad … that’s it exactly! I feel like I’ve missed out on so much and now I’m looking to get back in sync.
In the modern world we spend so much time rushing about and surrounded by people and noise that it is almost imposable to let those inspirational thoughts be recognised by our concious minds. Most of us live such unbalanced lives because of modern day living that we miss out on many things. (alone time, family time, holiday time, spiritual time). We all need more balance.
Extremely completely and utterly true. Although I still have those lightning bolt moments when writing code which seems to creep up on me.
