I’m using Outlook 2003 on XP Pro (don’t start your Mac/Linux evangelism please!)
So one of my guys sent me a task 2 weeks ago but I think it’s corrupted or something.
Firstly, the task does not display in the Reading Pane.
And then, if I try to open it, move it or delete it – I get this:
And I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to get rid of it.
Any ideas? ‘Cos I’m going mental with this “thing” polluting my nice clean Inbox!
GRRRRRRR
Very annoying. Eish … will have to wait till my Tech Dude comes around again and ask him to help.
Damn, that’s really annoying, sorry, can’t help from afar :/
Just tried that now … no luck 🙁
I’ll have a look through that software – thanks …
And has the person who wrote the task tried to delete it? Sorry for stating the obvious, last shot at trying to help.
I just did a Google for “Outlook 2003 delete corrupted shared task” and this post came up on the first page. Not of use, but interesting.
Also found this http://share-pst.qarchive.org/ Maybe something there will help.
@BigFriendly … yes, I’ve tried that. I’ve also tried an Office repair from Add/Remove Programs, running Scanpst.exe and clearing Frmcache.dat.
*grumble*
Have you tried to run the “Detect and Repair…” option under the Help menu?
Yes, the sender is also on Outlook 2003 …
Hmmm, is the sender also using Outlook 2003? If he’s using Outlook 2007, this might be the problem..
